Kelvin is built by one person, and it costs nothing — the first public build is out, free under AGPL-3.0-only, and the licence keeps it that way. What sponsorship buys is time: the hours that turn 0.1 into 0.2. There is no pro tier waiting behind this page and nothing to upsell, so this is the whole pitch.

Your name ships in the binary
Sponsors are thanked by name in the app’s settings. The list is compiled into each release alongside the model — it is not fetched from a server when the app starts, because nothing is. Whatever the list says on release day is what that build carries for good, in the order sponsors arrived.

What it doesn’t change
Sponsoring unlocks nothing, because nothing is locked. No features appear, no queue is jumped, and the build a sponsor runs is the build everyone runs — that is the point of the licence, not a limitation of the offer.
The source is public under AGPL-3.0-only, so you can read the work before backing it — the repository’s own Sponsor button points at the same place as the one above. What sponsorship buys is unchanged: the hours between this release and the next one.
